I have been teaching MSK corticosteroid injections and skin surgery for various RCGP faculties and the Association of Surgeons in Primary Care for over 10 years. I pulled the injections out of the main minor surgery course and expanded the curriculum to include examination techniques and home exercises.
The latest "Covid-secure" programme has the benefit of a lot more practical time with a much lower tutor:delegate ratio. However, skills have to be supported by knowledge.This online module fills in the theory gaps around the injection skills.
WHY: which musculoskletal conditions are suitable for injection, how they work and how effective they are.
